DISCOVERED A NEW (TO ME) WEBSITE

Here is a website of interest to Brugada Syndrome patients and, more specifically, their physicians.

"BrugadaDrugs.org has been initiated by the University of Amsterdam Academic Medical Center, department of Cardiology, to aid physicians who treat patients with Brugada Syndrome."

Check it out. It is worth forwarding to your cardiologist.

Hi Ginny!

Congratulations for this page.
I have an ICD implanted too, since july 2008.

But a was a victym during the surgery because a pulmonar artery was damaged (sorry for my English vocabulary) and lost much blood.

Nobody told me this was a risk. Later I found this information in the ICD manual...

But here I am. God be blessed!
My e-mail is neliomachado@hotmail.com

Greetings Nelio, I am not sure when you posted your comment as I am just reading it now. It must have been frightening for you to learn what had happened during your surgery regarding your pulmonary artery. Perhaps the surgeon accidentally nicked it? What a scare for your family, too! I hope you are doing well.
